Tend the Spirit of the Child Training
The “Tend the Spirit of the Child” training is currently in development. The training may be geared for pastors, spiritual leaders, education directors, child care staff, and/or parents.
The training involves hands-on, active learning opportunities for adults as they experience the world of the child. It is structured around the Everylight core activities of conversation, silence, and celebration. A variety of strategies are shared that support the spiritual nurture of children including: understanding children’s spiritual development in relation to child development in other domains; the many expressions of children through language, art, music, love; language and rituals of the spiritual community; nurturing children as they reach outward in a diverse world; building supportive relationships; and family partnerships.
This training will be made available to interested churches and community groups throughout the country. A “Child-Friendly Assessment” for your organization is also available.
