Family Hospitality Workshops
The purpose of the workshop “Creating a Family Culture of Hospitality” is to affirm our increasingly diverse culture and challenge the notion that our default position should be one of fear and suspicion toward strangers or others who are different. There is hope in offering strategies and support to families that find themselves in non-traditional family situations and for all parents and other family adults who choose to raise their children with a family culture of hospitality. The workshops are experiential with playful, conversational, and creative activities for families or organizations to explore strategies of hospitality that will meet their unique needs and goals, while at the same time supporting children in their healthy development as caring human beings with a sense of purpose and positive view of the future. This hands-on workshop will be made available to interested parent groups and organizations throughout the country. Those interested in hosting a workshop may request information by contacting Kathy Fry-Miller at children@everylight.org
